Food & Drinks in the Library
Can I eat or drink in the library?
Answer
Yes, but please follow these guidelines to help us keep the library clean and welcoming:
Mt. SAC Library Food & Drink Guidelines
To help maintain a clean and welcoming environment for everyone:
-
Be mindful of snacks and drinks. Food and beverages can attract pests and cause damage to library materials, equipment, and furniture.
-
Clean up after yourself. Please dispose of trash properly and leave the space as you found it.
-
Respect shared spaces. Messes and lingering smells can be disruptive to others, may need to be addressed by library employees, and could even attract pests like bugs and rodents.
-
Keep the study rooms for studying. Messes, spills, or lingering smells from food or drinks can impact other users and those who use the space after you.
-
Report spills or messes. If an accident happens, please let library staff know so we can maintain a clean learning environment for everyone.
-
Avoid food in computer areas. Help us keep equipment clean and functioning properly by not having food near computers, print stations and scanners.
-
No food deliveries or parties. Group meals or food deliveries are not allowed, except for approved library events.
Thank you for helping us maintain a space where everyone can focus and enjoy their time at the library!
