Does the Library have the textbooks for my classes?
Answer
The Mt. SAC Library has a collection of print and online textbooks and other books on “Reserve” for courses.
Print books in the Reserve collection may be checked out for 2 hours and must stay in the Library. You may scan or take photos of a few pages, or use the print Reserve books in the Library.
Online Reserve books may have different loan periods.
To find books in the Reserve collection:
- From the Library’s homepage, click on “Course Reserves.”
- In the search box, type in your course number, for example: BIOL 5, then click on “Search.”
- Click on the course title, for example: BIOL 5: Contemporary Health Issues. Next, you will see a list of all the books that are on Reserve for BIOL 5.
- Next, go to the Check Out Desk and give them the title of the book(s) that you found.
